Middle of the Night People and The Backyard Party Animals

At 3 a.m. last night, you were probably snuggled up warm and cozy in your bed.
At 3 a.m. last night quiet snow was quickly filling our yards, roofs and streets.
At 3 a.m. last night your furnace was kicking on to ward off the chill of a winter storm.
At 3 a.m. last night I woke up with 6 dog eyes glowing at me in the dark.
At 3 a.m. last night I let three long-legged labradors out for a potty "party" break.
At 3 a.m. last night my dogs were racing around the backyard like it was 70 and sunny.
At 3 a.m. last night I decided since I was already up, to grab my camera.
At 3 a.m. last night I found out my neighbors don't appreciate flash photography at 3 a.m.
At 3 a.m. last night I ate ice cream in front of the open freezer door and no one cared.
At 3 a.m. last night I called the only other person awake at this hour, Justin!
At 3 a.m. last night as we were talking, I realized that Justin and I are middle of the night people.
At 3 a.m. last night these are some pictures I took, until our neighbor hung out their second story window and informed me that my photography session and the dog party were interrupting their sleep cycle.

3 a.m. can be a serene time of day, when the rest of the world is asleep and for the moment, the new snow is untouched. Thanks for capturing the beauty and sharing it with those of us who were sleeping.
